6 Things We Do

Our Personalized Approach

The 631 Solution provides a comprehensive range of services for cross-cultural workers, the organizations they work for, and the communities that send them. From debriefing to sender-equipping, we engage with you where you are to bring lifelong health and effectiveness as you work and serve others around the world.

Reflect and Recalibrate

Debriefing involves a deliberate examination of a particular period of time in the past or present. This guided process seeks to identify what has changed inwardly and outwardly as a result of those events and to discern God’s hands in the midst of them. Adjusting to God’s perspective helps you formulate a response that produces personal growth and a closer walk with the Lord.

Debriefing can be helpful as a regular practice, during any transition, or in response to a difficult season or traumatic event. Usually this is a 4-5 day process. If you are in the habit of doing regular debriefs, the process may move more quickly.

Live with Grace

Cross-cultural workers live a life of frequent transition. Put simply, something is always changing. Some transitions need debriefing, others benefit more from coaching–an outside party guiding a process of observation and planning so that you and your family ride out the change in a way that promotes health and wholeness and a deeper connection with God and others.

One of The 631 Solution’s specialties is Re-Entry Coaching, designed for when God is moving you or one of your children back to your passport culture after an extended time overseas.

Grow Spiritually

Pastoral Care

We recognize the importance of spiritual and emotional well-being in the lives of cross-cultural workers. Our pastoral care services provide compassionate support and guidance that nurtures your faith, helps you cope with stress, and find renewed strength for your journey.

Similar to spiritual direction, pastoral care is holding prayerful space for someone else and remaining attentive to the Spirit of God on behalf of that person. It is the process of helping people become aware of what God is up to in their lives.

In our context, both debriefing and coaching carry an element of pastoral care. But sometimes, the situation is not that specific. There are times when a person senses that God is up to something different in his life. There are also times when a person finds himself feeling the uneasiness of questions or doubts.

In this space, it can be helpful to take a step outside of one’s normal routine to pay attention and to discern how God is leading and how we can align ourselves to His movement in our lives. Pastoral care help facilitate that process.

Often, pastoral care is birthed out of the relationship formed in debriefing and coaching. Sometimes, cross-cultural workers find themselves in organizations that do not provide ongoing member care. In each case, we can step in to help fill that void and will tailor our role to best meet your needs.

Matt, an ordained minister, and Cindy bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles, with qualifications that blend practical know-how with spiritual depth. With a combined service spanning over two decades across Albania and Greece, they have honed their cross-cultural understanding since 1999.

Matt’s upbringing as a Third Culture Kid (TCK) in Australia and their shared background in church-planting families enrich their understanding of the dynamics of growing up in cross-cultural and ministry families.
